The purpose of this page is to document YHWH's and YAHUSHA's words concerning peace and war.
I heard a speaker one time say that YAHUA hates war. I want to see if there is Scriptural evidence to support this statement.
6 'Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.'
2 'And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.' (KJV)
17 "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever." (KJV)
2 "For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter." (KJV)
25 "The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD." (KJV)
20 "Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD." (KJV)
9 "And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:" (KJV)
10 "So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD." (KJV)
3 'And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.' (KJV)
No more war!
9 'Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:'
10 'And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.'
11 'But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.'
12 'Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.'
6 'The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.' (KJV)
9 'The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.'
10 'All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.'
23 'That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.' (KJV)
So much for being a peace loving people. How does this compare with the Christian claim that the Muslim religion is not peaceful?
30 'Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.' (KJV)
People who delight in war will be scattered.
9 'When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.' (KJV)
7 'I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.' (KJV)
1 'Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;' (KJV)
2 'Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.' (KJV)
6 'The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.' (KJV)
4 'For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.' (KJV)
18 'Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.' (KJV)
9 'Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.'
52 'Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. '
17 'But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.'
18 'And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.'
1 'Let brotherly love continue.' (KJV)
2 'Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.' (KJV)
20 'Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,' (KJV)
17 'For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.'
19 'Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.'
15 'But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.'
3 'For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:'
10 'He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.'
