INTRODUCTION:

"Apocrypha (Greek for "things hidden"): Consists of fourteen books written after the closing of the Hebrew canon. The Apocrypha is included in the Septuagint and in the Latin Vulgate, and 11 books are included in the Catholic Douay Bible, however, the Apocrypha is considered uncanonical by Protestants. Nonetheless, it is an ancient writing that potentially offers a view of early understanding..."
