INTRODUCTION:

I originally created this page as a place to collect information on the Masoretic text. As time has gone on, I am now starting to use it to explore the idea that all Scripture contains man induced distortion. There is a train of thought being disseminated throughout the realm of spiritual believers that somehow the Jews or the rabbis have managed to maintain the Scriptures in the most original form. The very existence of the Masoretic text, not to mention it's intended purpose, clearly shows that this is not an accurate idea or belief. While most religious institutions try to downplay the fact, any serious study of the Scripture shows that distortion has been introduced since the first writing. The only variable has been the amount and type of distortion introduced.

The Masoretic Text was primarily copied, edited and distributed by a group of Jews known as the Masoretes between the 7th and 10th centuries CE."

The Aleppo Codex (once the oldest complete copy of the Masoretic Text, but now missing its Torah section) dates from the 10th century.
